Meet the Specialist
History
PEAC is the product of Usama Alamoudi. Having had electrical engineering education and having worked for over 30 years with major engineering and product manufacturing firms as: Siemens (Germany), ABB (Switzerland), Cummins (USA), and ALSTOM GRID (France), Usama specializes in developing projects based on the needs of the customer, utilizing the most modern technologies within design and products, assuring proper installation, and conducting quality testing and commissioning of every of part of the facility’s components and systems. All this is done in coordination with the suppliers from the design, to manufacturing, to on site testing, to proper transport to site, to professional installation, and to quality testing, commissioning, and handing over to the operators. Products and materials are chosen on criteria of efficiency and cost by assuring each is easily maintained and each has a long mean time between failures. PEAC’s work includes the project management that starts with the development of a detail design and specification. This is the first step in turning the customer’s expectations to a reality (resulting in the First Creation). PEAC then specializes in the communication with different suppliers until the best product and solutions for the best price are identified (Tendering). PEAC supervises the manufacturing process of the various components and plants of the facility at world leading industries, to assuring that every component and plant is quality tested and to assure that each interfaces properly with the next so that they all together compliment a fully functional facility. This is followed by proper packaging and transport to the site. PEAC manages on site erection and commissioning of the facility while in coordination with the suppliers to place the facility onto operation (resulting in the Second Creation). PEAC develops the facility’s operations methods and procedures while defining the competence of the personnel to execute such after commissioning of the facility by utilizing proper quality management systems, after sales services, and proper spare parts supply management. In this PEAC achieves the ultimate goal to assure proper continuous operations of the facility and satisfaction of the owners, personel, and the end customers.

Usama Alamoudi
Usama, Sam as his friends call him, studied electrical engineering at Florida International University in Miami, Florida, and specialized in Computer Engineering. He later studied at London Business School, U.K. He received Germany’s TUV certification in Operation & Maintenance Management. He started his career working with Siemens A.G. for a project in Makkah, Saudi Arabia in the late 80s, where the customer’s technical specification exceeded the technology of available products at that time and required innovation and the design and manufacturing of new hardware and also a lot of futuristic thinking. The result was a 25-thousand-point Management System, that controlled every aspect of the Complex and was upon it’s commissioning the biggest decentralized control system ever commission worldwide. Using two mainframe computers and hundreds of decentralized controllers all working independently yet together, Sam created a specialized system for the customer that would only after decades become a standard in automation. {more}
